@ 2009 Tecate Baja 500
ENSENADA, BAJA CALIFORNIA, MEXICO – (June 6, 2009) – “Ballistic” BJ Baldwin
took on an arduous desert course to bring home second place in Trophy
Truck at the 2009 Tecate Baja 500.
BJ battled fierce competition throughout the race, but finished on the podium
to extend an outstanding season for Team General Tire.
“We are absolutely ecstatic about BJ’s podium finish today. It was an extremely
difficult course, but this was a crucial race for Team General Tire,” said
Travis Roffler, director of marketing, General Tire. “Being on the podium so
consistently this season has solidified General Tire’s place among the best of
the desert tires, and we are so proud to have BJ drive under our team colors.”
“This race was totally over the top,” BJ said. “We were neck and neck with
some very fierce competitors all day long, but the truck hung on and got us to
the podium. We’re thrilled with this finish.”
