"300" Huge Success!! Las Vegas, Nevada ~ The Tonopah "300" proves to be a big day for brothers! The brother team of Damon and Casey Jefferies, Temuecula, CA, win 1st in the 1400 Trick Truck Class, and 4th overall, in 6:13:01, in their new Ford Trick Truck, which has 720 horse-power and weighs in at 5300 lbs. The brother team of Mark and Gary Weyhrich, Troutdale, OR, driving a Chenowth, win 1st in the 1500 Unlimited Car Class and 1st Overall, in 6:00:40. The race ran neck
in neck with the top four race vehicles all day long. Along with the Imagine racing over 300-miles of tough desert terrain in 5 hours and 10 minutes! That was the winning time for Jonah Street, Ellensburg, WA, and Steve Hengeveld, riding a Honda, winning the Open Pro Class, in 5:10:54. Six minutes behind the leader was the race team of Shane Esposito, Reno, NV, and Andy Grider, riding a Kawasaki, in 5:16:12. The defending champion team of Johnny Campbell and Tim Staab, riding a Honda, take 3rd place this year, in 5:20:31. The lead Quad riders rode the 300-mile course in one hour and 20 minutes behind the first motorcycles. The winning Quad Pro winners were Jimmy Stephensen, Las Vegas, NV, and Eric Dollente, riding a Yamaha, in 6:29:52. Two minutes behind the leader was Doug Eichner, El Cajon, CA, and John Gregory, riding a Roll Design, in 6:32:09. Of the 75 Car and
