Las Vegas…World renowned off-road racing star Larry Ragland will team up with Brian Collins and Collins Motorsports for the upcoming SCORE Baja 500, June 1-3 in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.

"I'm really happy to be sharing the driving with Brian," says Ragland. "Collins Motorsports is great team and their Trophy Truck is definitely first class. I've raced a number of vehicles during my off-road and this truck is one of the very best."

Ragland, who took top honors at the Baja 500 last year, is hoping for a repeat performance. "This has long been one of my very favorite events," says the Phoenix resident. "The Collins crew has done an incredible job dialing in the truck and I think our chances of doing well are excellent. Our plan is for Brian to drive the first half and I will handle the second half. One of the more challenging things this year will be the new 90-mile loop running south, west and north from Mike's Sky Ranch. It is an incredible slow section and very time consuming. It's going to be interesting to see how everyone does."

"Having Larry run with us is just tremendous," says Collins, obviously pleased. "We have been friends for a long time and his talent behind-the-wheel is absolutely phenomenal. I feel extremely lucky to have him as my co-driver."

After two of five events in this year's SCORE Desert Series, Collins holds a ten point lead in the Trophy Truck battle.

"This race pays 15 points to start, 30 to finish and a minimum of 15 for the win," explains Collins. 'If we can take them all, we can extend our lead, which is our goal." With a win (Laughlin) and a second place finish (San Felipe) already to his credit, there is no doubt that the Collins Motorsports team can accomplish exactly what they set out to do. "It now boils down to luck," smile both Collins and Ragland, "and you never know which way it will go."
